Areas We Serve
Physiotherapy & recovery in the heart of Unley
Based at 1/92 Unley Road, PhysMed is easy to reach from across Adelaide's inner south and the CBD. Whether you live, work or train nearby, here's how we can help — and how to find us.
Right in the inner south
A clinic built around the neighbourhood
PhysMed sits on Unley Road, one of Adelaide's busiest and best-loved inner-south corridors. It's a part of the city where people walk to the shops, cycle to work, run the linear park before sunrise and gather at local clubs on the weekend — an active, health-minded community that we're proud to be part of. Because we're right on the main road rather than tucked away in a back street, getting to us for physiotherapy, acupuncture or a recovery session is genuinely easy, whether you're coming from home, the office or training.
Our location was a deliberate choice. David Boyd wanted a clinic that the surrounding suburbs could treat as their own — somewhere close enough to drop in regularly, which matters enormously when you're working through an injury, recovering from surgery or building recovery into your weekly routine. The less friction there is in getting to your appointment, the more likely you are to stick with the plan that gets you better. That's why we focus on the communities that ring Unley, from Hyde Park and Malvern through to Parkside, Goodwood and the city fringe.

Why locals choose PhysMed
Everything in one place, close to home
PhysMed brings together physiotherapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine and a dedicated recovery centre under one roof — overseen by one clinician who knows your goals. That means less running between providers, a clearer plan, and recovery tools most clinics simply don't have.
Who we help locally
Care for an active, busy community
The inner south is full of people who like to keep moving, and the way they use PhysMed reflects that. We see weekend runners and parkrun regulars from the linear park, cyclists heading into the hills, office workers along Unley Road managing desk-related neck and back pain, and members of the many local sporting clubs who want to stay available across a long season.
Because everything is under one roof, your care can flex as your needs change. Someone recovering from a knee reconstruction might begin with frequent post-surgical rehabilitation and recovery-room sessions, then taper to occasional check-ins and an ongoing strength plan. A runner nursing a stubborn tendon might pair tendon rehabilitation with acupuncture and the occasional ice bath. Whatever stage you're at, the goal is the same one that runs through everything we do: helping you rely less on medication, understand your own body and take charge of your health.
Runners & cyclists

Desk-based workers

Clubs, teams & families

Making your visit easy
Coming from a little further afield?
Plenty of our clients travel from beyond the immediate neighbourhood — from the city, the eastern suburbs and right across the southern suburbs — because having physiotherapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine and a full recovery centre in the one place is worth the short drive. Unley Road connects easily to South Road, Greenhill Road, Glen Osmond Road and the South Eastern Freeway, so wherever you're coming from, we're rarely more than a ten-to-fifteen-minute trip. Onsite parking at the front of the clinic means you can pull up, walk in and get straight to your appointment.
If you're weighing up whether the trip is worthwhile, it often helps to think about how many visits a treatment plan involves. For acute problems that may only be a handful of sessions, while post-surgical or longer-standing issues can mean coming in regularly for a time, sometimes alongside Club PhysMed recovery sessions in between. Having a single clinic that handles assessment, hands-on treatment and recovery can save a lot of running around. If you're not sure whether we're the right fit or how to get here, the easiest thing is simply to get in touch — we're always happy to talk it through before you book.
